Achievement Unlocked! – Level 22

Platform: Xbox One
Time to Complete: 3 – 4 Hours
Gamerscore Available: 1000G
Gamerscore Achievable: 1000G

Oh count your lucky, lucky, lucky stars. This game is good and it’s an easy 1000G. We’re taking another break from playing games like Roblox and King Kong again to focus on a game I picked up a while ago solely for achievements. I was surprised as to how fun it was. So, on with the game.

I’m going to guide you through the entire game. All four worlds of it, with all the collectables and everything. It’s primarily a stealth game, but if I can do a stealth game, everyone can.

Achievement Unlocked – Truth or Lies

Platform: Xbox 360
Time to Complete: 1 – 2 Hours
Gamerscore Available: 1000G
Gamerscore Achievable: 1000G

This game is good. Lie. 1000G please. Unfortunately it isn’t as easy as that, I wish it was, but no, we’re going to need one or two things. Firstly, you need the microphone that comes with the Lips games. Luckily I had two for whatever reason, but it’s the only way the game will work I believe.

Now then, starting the game you’ll need to calibrate your microphone and make an account name. Register eight separate names after calibrating your microphone to unlock three separate achievements:

Now that you’ve done these three. Exit out to the main menu, start-up a “Long Game” with two profiles. With the first account, try to aim for always being truthful. The second account for lies. The voice calibration is awful and this system will probably fall through pretty quickly, just keep trying to make it truths for account 1 and lies for account 2.

The very first question, answer it in less than 6 seconds by filling the bar (stick the microphone to your throat and yell or something, that’s what I did) to unlock:

As this is on account 1, it should hopefully register as the truth, which will also unlock:

Now obviously use account 2, take more than 9 seconds to answer the question, this will unlock:

As you’ve told your first lie in the game (hopefully it worked) you will also unlock:

Now you’ll be onto your third question. For the next two achievements just let the timer run out. It’ll unlock you:

Do it twice more to unlock:

Now after doing all this round one should be over. If you managed to keep the truth to one account and the lies to the other than the following achievements should unlock:

Continue playing through this game and finish the long game. Now I don’t know about you but the game is so shit that you probably wont have unlocked, however when you finish the game then you’ll definitely unlock:

And if you’ve kept both accounts to the truth/lie formula, you should also unlock:

At this point what I did was say “Sod it, I’ll do the game achievements later” and went on to do the very easy Hot Seat achievements. To unlock these, all you need to do is answer all the questions in one round as a lie, then answer one as a truth, this will unlock you these four achievements:

After doing this, continue playing Hot Seat until you unlock:

Okay, so that’s Hot Seat done, now we’ve had a break from the Party Mode it’s time to go back to it and get the final few achievements done. It’s hit or miss once again and you may not have unlocked a few of the achievements beforehand but don’t worry, it wont take too long.

For “Choir of Angels” just make sure both players are answering truthfully at all times. The opposite will be done for “Morally Bankrupt”, wherein you need to answer with lies every time. Dubious should just come naturally anyway so don’t worry about that one.

Finally, the last achievement should also unlock along with these last achievements.

This should unlock when you go for the “Morally Dubious” achievement unless by random chance you end the game with both players on exactly the same points.

That’s it for Truth or Lies, there wasn’t too much word related stuff in that because the majority of the achievements will just come naturally. Anyway, congratulations on your new 1000G and completion of this bloody awful game.

Achievement Unlocked: 6180 The Moon

Platform: Xbox One
Time to Complete: 2 – 5 Hours
Gamerscore Available: 1000G
Gamerscore Achievable: 1000G

If you’re any good at platforming games, this will be no trouble for you. However I’m really terrible at them, so it took me five hours of on and off play before I finally sat down, thought “sod it” and went off to finish it. After weeks and weeks, I finally managed to complete it, and what a pain in the arse it was. I’m not a fan of platformers, unless it’s Super Mario, Crash Bandicoot or Spyro.

It starts off fairly easy and if I can 100% it then so can you, best of luck! I’ll link a video in case you need it but the majority of it is fairly straight forward.

Eight Pain in the Arse Xbox Achievements I Have

It’s safe to say that I have a passion addiction for games. But nothing makes my playing better than having a crazy objective to do while I play. They’re completely optional, but add to my ever growing achievements list. Not all of them are fun though, like these ones:

Dead Rising 2 – Zombie Fu 20G

Killed 1,000 Zombies barehanded. Those were some killer moves!

While not the most annoying, it’s one of the most time consuming things I have ever done in my entire life. One of the only reasons I did it was for the Shaun of the Dead outfit which is insanely awesome! But to do this achievement, you’ll need a lot of spare time. Killing 1,000 zombies with your hands and feet is annoying, especially when your attacks do very little damage and sometimes take up to three hits to kill those obnoxious, undead vegetables. Just make sure you have a couple of the special moves on your character, head over to the Casino part of the mall, where the two giant dice are, the zombies should start to crowd around, punch them all, keep doing that until you get bored and do what I do which was to run around drop kicking zombies down a flight of stairs.

Call of Duty: World at War – Gunslinger/Hardened War Hero 15G/100G

Assassinated General Amsel with a sidearm

Completed the game on Hardened or Veteran difficulty and won on all fronts

God, I cannot tell you how many attempts these two achievements take, especially the War Hero achievement. The Gunslinger achievement is all about aim, which I’m not very good at. I did manage to pull it off due to the luck however and it sits proudly with EVERY SINGLE OTHER Call of Duty: World at War achievement. All 66 of them. Which means I had to play through the campaign on Veteran to get the War Hero achievement, which is a task of it’s own. War Hero literally drove me insane with how difficult it was to pull off and the Gunslinger was just plain annoying. You might want to look up a guide on TrueAchievements because I’m no use here.

Halo 3 – Vidmaster Challenge: Annual – 0G

After 9/25/08, completed Halo on 4-player Legendary LIVE co-op, with Iron, and everyone in Ghosts.

When I first read the description for this achievement, I got a little frightened. The last level of Halo 3, which is called Halo, is one of the toughest missions in the game even on Easy. The Iron skull turns off spawning, which means that you need to rush through to each checkpoint to get your team back, of course you can’t seen as though the enemies are tough as nails. Mind you, I did it with a pretty incompetent team and it’s the achievement I’m most proud of getting, even though all it gave me was a piece of armour that every single player now owns. Get a good team of friends, all with microphones, have two people run ahead, one to stay in the middle and one stays all the way back as a backup. You need to rush from checkpoint to checkpoint, which is difficult because of the damn flood. After the fight with Guilty Spark it’s just a quick sprint to the ghosts, carefully making your way up the mountain and having an awesome drive over to the end of the game. Was very satisfying to do that to be honest with you all.

Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare – Hunting Season – 50G

Vanquish 100 Soldiers, 100 Scientists, 100 Engineers and 100 All-Stars

This was such a grind-a-thon. 400 Kills in all, providing that you ARE playing as the Plants and you ARE on such a good team that you can easily rack up about ten kills a game. This achievement was bloody horrendous to do, I’m terrible at the game and don’t like PvZ that much, but for 50G I couldn’t resist…and went on to get 795 more gamerscore on the game… You’ll unlock this and a lot of other achievements over time.

Portal 2 – You Saved Science – 100G

Complete all test chambers in all courses of co-op

Not the hardest achievement, but none the less a pain in the arse. Especially if both people doing the playthrough are incompetent buffoons (thanks Nathan). For this achievement, you’ll need two people who are good at Portal 2 (or have access to the internet so they can look up the walkthrough), enough time, let’s say a good five hours or so and of course, internet. It took longer than expected, mainly because my “thinking with portals” ended up with my partner in science dying… a lot. It’s a good game, the multiplayer is just as good so you’ll have an enjoyable time and be rewarded with a 100G achievement.

Quantom of Solace – The Best Player In Service – 15G

Be a top player in an online match.

Doesn’t sound difficult at all now does it? Well, what if I told you this:

Nobody ever has and/or will play the online of Quantom of Solace. Not only that, but if you do find a game, then you’ll have to be very lucky that you don’t find a game full of hardcore players who play private matches and all of that sort. I got lucky, very lucky.

WWE All Stars – The King of Kings – 50G

Defeated the entire WWE All Stars roster as Triple H

This has to be the most time consuming achievement ever. Not only do you have to beat EVERY SINGLE person on the roster, you’ll need to unlock them as well. So, hours and hours are put into this, gathering the characters and then beating them all. Time consuming and annoying, because All Stars wasn’t the best game. BUT WAIT, you can put in a cheat code (yeah, games use cheat codes still), unlock all the characters, stick a second controller on and go for the easy pin you filthy cheat.

So, if you have all eight of those achievements then hats off to you, if not, then I’m so sorry, but you have a life.

Achievement Unlocked! – Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious

Platform: Xbox One
Time to Complete: 2 – 3 Hours
Gamerscore Available: 1000G
Gamerscore Achievable: 1000G

Another one of these eh? Aye, why not, the first one was (hopefully) well received so I’ve written a few more, this time we’ll be looking at the moderately alright game Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious which is a mouthful. Continue reading

Have We Caught “Achievement Hysteria”?

You’re instantly wondering what the hell I’m going on about aren’t you. “What’s achievement hysteria?” I’ll pretend to hear you cry out in probable anger and confusion. Well I’ll tell you, because if I didn’t then there wouldn’t be a point to writing the rest of this paragraph. Achievement Hysteria is where you play games not for fun, but to get GamerScore or Trophies or anything else that could be considered similar to those two. Continue reading
